Hello, Hello, welcome to the Purpose and Pixie Dust podcast in a brand new year. So if you're listening to this live time, the new year is 2023. So I want to be the first to wish you a happy 2023. My name is Lindsay Dollinger, I'm the host of this podcast and this one's going to be a little bit more on the short and sweet side because I know you probably have a lot of things that you can be working on in your business right now. Everyone is doing New Year, new you new goals, all of those types of things and I wanted this to be a little bit different, just a little bit simpler approach to that and I just want to encourage you to take some time because you know, I'm all about the strategy, you guys know that I'm all about strategy and some systems and how we can get from A to B. How can we can get there easier, quicker, faster, more efficiently so that we can achieve our goals. But I think it's a really important time of the year to reassess realign, make sure we know what the goal really even is because I think sometimes we are like pushing and um, you know, running towards something and it's almost like there's really no, there's no destination on our map. Like we're just kind of driving around and we never actually put anything into our GPS and I have another episode about this. It's been a while back because I heard, I've heard several people use this as an analogy of like, you have to know your starting point, which is realistically where you're at right now, you have to know your endpoint in order to be able to plug those things into your map your ways. I'm a huge fan of the ap ways. If you don't know what that is. It's a traffic app basically, it will give you directions, but I'll also tell you if there's road construction, if there's any sort of delays, standstill traffic police, all sorts of things. So anyway, that's kind of what I feel like we're doing today is we're being ways. But I want you to think about your goals kind of two fold because I think so many times we go after them as either a financial goal or as an impact goal. And I really, this year I am looking at my own business this way and I want to encourage you to try this as well, is to look at your business as what is the financial goal that you have, your financial impact that you want to create and then what is your purpose or your impact goal? Because so many times when we talk about what are y is and I think your, y can actually be different than this. But when we're talking about our mission or our vision for our company, it almost feels like dirty or icky to talk about the financial side, but you don't have a business. My friend, if you are not focusing as well on the financial side, like you have a hobby or you're running a nonprofit, which is a totally different conversation, which I feel like nonprofits are still going to have a financial goal in mind because you have to be making money in order to support the charities, the foundations, your cause, your purpose. So I would really love you to really get clear on what is your impact that you're trying to create this year in your business and all the things really that you're doing in your life and your volunteer work. Um you know, your friends, your family, your relationships, what sort of impact and how do you want to feel in those sorts of things? So specifically in your business, some things that I know that I am asking myself is, how many clients do I want, whether this is one on one strategy small group, how many women isn't my goal to have in my membership so that I can create massive impact with them as well. Um if you just heard some noise, my dogs had to jump up on the couch to be with me. I'm at my dad's house recording this. I tried to find the room with the least amount of distractions, but I actually think I found the one with the most distractions. So anyway, so it's my dad's dog and my dog Bella who just decided to join us. Um I forget exactly what I was saying to be honest, but oh I was sharing about my own purpose with my membership, so my business in general, and so I get to really think about what my impact is going to be with all those women in my programs. But also my goal is to speak on more stages and to, you know, be involved in summits and be guests on other people's podcasts. So I get to think about the impacts that I'm going to create and the messaging that I am going to share with the world essentially in those things. And I've been getting clearer on that because one of the things especially for podcast guesting Is a lot of people want to know like 2-3 topics that you would like to talk on. So I have been really honing in on what are my 2-3 things that I feel well equipped that I want feel equipped to share with other people that I feel like I'm an expert on. But to what do I really want to share with other people? Like how am I going to impact other people's lives for the better through them listening to my podcast interviews. So that's just one example and I feel like those two questions can apply to you when you're thinking about your customers as well or your future teammates, you know how do I want to make them feel when they're working with me versus when they're working with someone else or whether they're shopping at a box store? How do I want even the people that you hire your via to feel? How do you want your coach to feel? How do you want your teammates if your network marketing, how do you want them to feel? What sort of impact do you want to provide and create for them through their interactions with you and the environment that you create. So that's the impact side. So I'm going to be journaling on that and I encourage you to do that as well. And then I really do want you to really think hard about the financial side. What financial amount, what income, what revenue I guess I should say coming into your business would feel really amazing to you. What would completely change your life? Let's dream big, like why are we not dreaming bigger with this? And instead of putting a low number on ourselves and then when we hit it, being excited about that, No, let's push higher. Let's do higher. Let's do bigger things. Because remember your financial winds not only help you and your family, but think about what that allows you to do. Does it allow you the time to do more of the things like volunteering and allows you to create a bigger impact on other people. Like that's just one example of what money can do for you and for others. So let's really stop isolating it and making it about one or the other and really start combining your purpose. Hence the name of the show, Right? Your purpose and that impact part of things with the financial side of things. So, I would love to hear both of those goals if you feel comfortable enough and you would love to Dmb them to me or you want to share them out in the world. I think there's something really huge about sharing those sorts of things out into the world and I hope that you have an amazing, amazing start to your New year and we'll talk so soon. Bye bye. And that's a wrap on today's episode. I hope you're leaving today inspired Princess to create own and spread your magic to the world. If you found by you in this episode or no, a girlfriend who needs to hear it, would you screenshot it and send it to her and if you're feeling really generous, pop it up on your I. G. Stories and tag me at Lindsay Dollinger so I can see you loved it. And tell you thank you. I appreciate you. Now let's go do some amazing things. Bye bye.
