Facebook Jail Is Real--Three Steps to Keep Your Business Going without Being on Social

Being closed out of my Facebook accounts this week has been a humbling experience and a great reminder to me that we, in fact, do not own our social media accounts.  It also allowed me to be insanely grateful for the email list and community I've worked hard to grow and be consistent at, as well as the presence I've built with my podcast (The Social Selling Sisterhood), my Youtube channel, my Instagram account, and my Pinterest.

Now, all those things have definitely taken a back burner to my presence on Facebook, specifically, but honestly being blocked from the site this week has driven me to really dive into presence in all those other places I mentioned, and I'm kinda secretly excited to have a real reason not to be attached to it.

Being in Facebook jail was a great reminder to me of three things:

1.If you don't have an email list and if you're not regularly communicating with it, you're really missing out on an insanely valuable client database.  Remember you own your...

4 C's To Grow Your Online Social Selling and Network Marketing Business FAST

I like to make my business the most simple it can be.  Over the years of crafting exactly how I've built my teams, my businesses, and the Social Selling Sisterhood, I realized my success can be simply narrowed down to the 4 C's: Content, Connections, Community and Consistency (and through in lots of dedication and drive, too). I'm going to break down below what these four Cs look like in my business to help you picture what this could look like for you, as well!

Content

Content in my business is not just creating content, but also being choosy about what content I consume (and how much time I spend consuming it). As a general rule, I give myself 80% of the time to actively work my business and create action on what I've learned, and 20% of the time to consume content.

Ways I consume content include:

  • Listening to podcasts while driving to and from work, getting ready in the AM, working out, or cleaning (time when it would be hard for me to work my business)
  • Time...

5 Tips to Balance Working Full-Time and Building Your Dream Business

So many people come to me wanting balance.  Balance is such a hard concept to grasp and even harder to achieve--and I believe it depends on what your definition of balance is in order to help you achieve it.

Can I help you create a schedule, systems, and more flow in your business? Heck, yes!

Your drive to stay committed to this schedule, systems, and planning your day so it makes sense, though...that's up to you!

Here are my quick tips for helping you build your dream business in the time you have each week.

Know your business goals

When you know where you are going with your business, it's easier to decide what actually needs to get done and what is fluff (aka unnecessary to take up your precious time).

I start with my clients and we look at your big goal. What do you want to achieve ultimately in your dream scenario?  What do those goals then look like in the next ten years? Five years? Three years? By the end of this year?

Once you have your goal for this year, we can...

Scheduling your week right can make a HUGE difference!

Alright, friend, it’s time to talk about why all those nagging tasks are not getting done. Maybe you have a passion problem (oh, another blog about that later!) or maybe you just have a scheduling problem. I want to give you some of my strategies for planning my life so I am most productive when I need to be, and also schedule in the breaks when I need to. Both are very important, especially if you’re trying to build a business!

Plan Backward

What I mean by this is, start planning your week/month/year by thinking about your goals. What do you want to achieve this year? This quarter? This month? Then work backward to break those goals into baby steps. So, say I would like to make $100,000.00 this year with my side businesses. If I break that down into quarters, it’s $25k a quarter I need to make, and if break it down by months, it’s about $8300 a month, and weeks that is about $2100. Perfect. With that I can write down my daily sales goals and then start...

Unless it’s a very small vendor event, you’re going to want to have a back up person with you to help. It’s especially nice to have someone with you to help unload and reload your supplies which I’ll list below. Additionally, it’s nice to be able to run to the bathroom or grab a quick bite to eat without worrying about leaving your tables unattended. As an added bonus, when your booth gets really busy, having a helper...
