Hello! Hello, welcome back to another biz tip Thursday episode of the podcast. I'm Lindsay Dollinger, I'm recording this in my car. So there is background noise on my Thursday episodes. Just an F. Y. I If this is your first time watching, if it bothers you check out a Monday episode, I've had some really amazing guests on the show lately on, I usually drop those on Mondays um or I do a solo episode on monday by but I recorded a little bit more professionally, these are just like a girl car chats and what I wanted to encourage you today and I might do another full episode or maybe even stream a training that I've done like a replay as a podcast coming up. I haven't exactly decided, but I wanted to make sure that you are starting to think ahead to your holiday sales plan because friends, the holidays are going to be here sooner rather than later. Um, I believe that the Jewish new year just happened recently and I feel like that just kind of kicks off like Canadian thanksgiving weekend Halloween american thanksgiving, just like bum bum bum bum bum, all the things are happening and my dad actually told me today that he had heard that big box stores are starting their sales a lot earlier this year.
Like Amazon day, I know it's um, at the time of this recording actually it's probably already happened or not recording, but when you guys are listening to this, but everything is kind of starting a little bit earlier this year. They were expecting bigger markdowns on things like clothing technology and they, what they had apparently said on the news was they were expecting people, they were starting sales earlier because they were expecting people to quote unquote run out of holiday gift giving money sooner rather than later. So if that is the case, which we don't know, I don't know, I'm not an economist, but if that is the case and I want to be sure that we are really starting to mention and make sure that our clients know how they can shop with us for the holidays, right? It's not too early to one, Not only be planning your things like black Friday um giving Tuesday, small business Saturday and I feel like we always traditionally think of those but why can't you be the person who starts your sales? Um you know early November or you go ahead and start selling gift bundles to to what's it called to promote holidays or gift giving you know sooner rather than later.
So I would like to encourage you, this is your best tip for today. Go ahead and start making a plan for the holidays. I would make a plan for how you are going to in some way promote something that could be given as a gift starting now like once a week at least you are promoting how people can buy a gift bundle from you, how people can buy a gift certificate, how people can work with you depending on what your niche is exactly. You know, a lot of health and fitness, we're doing it now, trying to get it in before you know the major holidays and in November and in December before it ramps back up in January for example. So let's really push for that now, especially if what it has been saying on the news around here is true and people are going to be spending and gift shopping a lot earlier rather than later if that's the case we want to make sure that we are being extra visible to our clients, that our clients know ways that they can shop with us, ways they can support us. That we are maybe going above and beyond um providing like I mentioned gift bundles wrapping. Already done gift certificate. Something to make things really easy for people. Maybe you are going to offer to do like some sort of secret Santa type shopping. Maybe you're talking to people's husbands and marketing towards the husbands like, hey, not sure what to buy your wife. She's a shopper of mine. Um or you know, wives send your husbands to me and I'll make sure that they get you your gift to give your gift wish list. So there's lots of ways to be creative around this but I really want to encourage you to go ahead and start thinking about it now. Make a plan now that you are promoting gift giving and the holidays seriously like it's not too soon. We probably should have actually started this a week ago.
Let's be real. So we get to make it a priority now so that our sales are maintained or increased during the holiday season instead of decrease because we haven't been on top of things and we wait until last minute, no one wants that. Right? Also you guys know traditionally, especially if you are in network marketing, we say J months tend to be a little bit more difficult for us. So we do have that J month coming up January. I know we are in fourth quarter whether we like it or not, we are in fourth quarter, 2023 will be here before we know it. So what sorts of things can we be promoting with our gifts and you know the bundles that we're putting together that's also going to encourage people to shop in January. So maybe if people buy a, I don't know, a $25 gift certificate with you, They're getting a $10 gift certificate for free that they can use the month of January. Like for businesses that I've been in that's especially good because most of my products don't just cost $10, they cost more than that. So you know you're going to have people shopping in January, most likely to use up those gift certificates. So that's just one idea of a way that you can offer like an incentive that seems pretty juicy to people. And then you also know that you most likely are going to have some sales coming in the month of January. So let's get creative about this but let's start planning because we don't want to wait until last minute. Now. I do have on my website as of right now I keep debating, I have had several coaches tell me that I need to make this a paid offer because it is so it's so much information and so many ideas and really so good for planning your holiday sales but I did a holiday sales, black Friday masterclass last year. I actually did it twice. Um I forget why I did it twice. I feel like the recording was bad the first night or I went too long, I don't remember um but I seriously, like I could have made this like a three hour class and I was just putting so much info into making it into trying to do it for less than an hour. But anyway it is free right now. It is one of my freebies that I have. I had thousands of women in it last year. I got so much amazing feedback from it, so many good ideas um and so please make sure that you check it out if you have not downloaded it already, I will be sure to link it in the show notes or if you go to my links page which is Lindsay dot com forward slash links. You will see on there, I believe I called it like holiday sales master class or training or something along those lines, but make sure you get that downloaded, go ahead and watch that and get the free workbook that goes along with it so that you can really use that as your planning and even if you're like already have my holiday sales planned out, I'm good, you're going to want that class anyway because there's so many ideas in it that you can use literally year round to keep your business going to bring something fresh and a fresh perspective in which most of the time is literally just what we need, right? We just need something a little bit different that we haven't tried before that is new and interesting to our clients to get them coming back to us for more. So make sure you get in that master class, like I said it's completely free, it doesn't and it's not one of those annoying checkouts where you have to enter your credit card even though it's free, I hate when checkouts graders like that, so it will say free at the top name and I think maybe your email so that you can access the course um because I had someone messaged me which she must want to realize that she didn't put the credit card info in but she was like how much did I just get charged for that? Didn't say um and I'm like girlfriend, you didn't enter any payment info and it does say free on the top, so it's completely free um like I said, I don't know that it will be free forever, so you're gonna want to get in there sooner rather than later um and if you're listening to this episode super in the future, I think eventually I'm going to be putting a small price tag on it just because it is so so good, so valuable. So anyway, I wanted to make sure that you knew about that. Let's start thinking about these holiday sales.
