Hey girl. Welcome to the Purpose and Pixie Dust podcast, the podcast where we dive deep into our passions, our purpose, and really unlock our potential with the pixie dust thrown in, what is pixie dust? You might ask. It's the fun and joy that gets unlocked when you're creating and owning your magic. I'm Lindsay Dollinger, dog mama, Disney lover and high school Spanish teacher who has used my magic to grow my businesses while also working full-time. I'm on a mission to help other women create and own your magic by building not only the business of your dreams, but also the life of your dreams while still juggling life, your full-time job and all the things. So if you want more than this provincial life, let's use our glass slippers to break those glass ceilings and sprinkle lots of pixie dust into our lives and businesses. Let's do this.

Hey, hey, friend. I am popping in here to make sure that you know about the best kept secret membership that exists for women entrepreneurs and shocking. The name is The Magical Membership for Women Entrepreneurs. So what is this magical membership you might ask? Well, it is a super fun place that I have curated. Uh, there's a Facebook group component to it as well as a website portal. So if you're not on Facebook, no worries, you can still be a part of the membership, but there is amazing community accountability, challenges, trainings, templates done for you, uh, social media, calendar content, all all the things, literally all the things, and I don't talk about it nearly as much as I should. So here is your open invitation to join the magical Membership for Women entrepreneurs. The information is in the links, or you can definitely send me a DM and I can get you all of the dets.

(00:01:47) - I hope I just realized that rhyme. Oh my gosh. Well, I hope you go out there creating on your magic and I will see you inside the magical membership for women entrepreneurs. Hello, hello. Welcome back to another Purpose in Pixie Dust podcast. I'm Lindsay Dollinger. This is gonna be a solo episode. Today, we are going to talk all things getting into momentum in your business and staying there, and I have five tips for you. We're gonna dive a little bit deeper into all of them, but before we get started, I want to reread the review of the week. It comes from NYC Dreamer nine, and the title is Love Lindsay's Energy, and High five to you NYC Dreamer nine, you spelled my name correctly, <laugh>. A lot of people do not, so I appreciate that. So he or she said, I'm assuming she since I ask my audience, but you never know.

 - Lindsay brings her great energy to each and every episode. They're a joy to listen to both her solo episodes with various tips and lessons and her interviews with guests sharing their expertise on a variety of topics as well. Highly recommend. So thank you, thank you, thank you, NYC Dreamer nine. If that was you, uh, send me a little message on IG or Facebook. I would love to tell you thank you personally, if you would like your review of the week read, make sure you leave a review. So we are up to to 43 reviews already, which is amazing. My goal is 100 by the end of summer. So that's, I know, gonna be kind of <laugh> a high, uh, reach for me, but I'm putting it out into the universe. I would, um, my real big honest goal is I would love a thousand reviews by NI this time next year.

(00:03:15) - So that's what I'm aiming at. So if you listen to this show, you love it, please take a second. You can scroll down right now if you're in Apple and, and I only see the ones on Apple, I don't actually even know if they do rating and reviews on other platforms. I haven't seen them. Um, but I would absolutely love it if you would. It literally takes a second. I try to do this for every podcast that I listen to just because I know it means so much to not only the podcaster, but it helps the show get seen and basically like gives it credibility. So would really, really appreciate that. So again, thank you so much. And one last thing before we dive in. I'm going to be mentioning it throughout, um, the episode today, but I am hosting and it's, it's really my first ever <laugh>, which is kind of strange to say, but my first ever low ticket offer in the, oh gosh, what, what, how, how do I wanna describe this?

(00:04:07) - Like in a workshop format or in a challenge format. So it starts, if you're listening to this real time, it starts on Sunday. So that's why I wanted to make sure to get this episode out and make sure you knew about it. But it is the magical business makeover, the proven two hour a day work system challenge. I'm pumped about this. This is going to go a lot into what we're talking about with finding your momentum, getting into momentum and staying there. But one of the biggest things that I hear from my clients and that I have been in this position myself, is not really knowing exactly what I should be doing each day to move my business forward and or I know what to do for some reason, I'm not doing it and I need that accountability. So I will be your accountability coach for seven days.

(00:04:49) - It is only a dollar a day, so a $7 commitment from you. And I'm honestly, I'm doing the commitment because I do free challenges and events all the time, and there's no real like kind of skin in the game. So I know it's just $7. But usually people who pay pay attention, you've probably heard that saying before in, um, personal development or business coaching, but this is your chance to get me to help you out, hold your hand kind of through this process and, and really help you gain clarity on what you should be doing in your business each day. And then like I, the title says how to do that in less than two hours a day. So that being said, the link for that is in the show notes or anytime that I'm promoting something or you wanna know how you can work with me, find the podcast, my blog, my free Facebook group, any of that, you can always go to lindsay dellinger.com/links and everything will be linked up in there for you.

(00:05:43) - All right, so let's dive in. Drum roll please. <laugh>, and these as well, these actually kind of are in an order this time. Usually I don't have a particular order that you have to do things, but these are going to, and you'll see as we start diving in. Make sense if you go in this order. So let's get into momentum, shall we? Tip number one is find your why. We've talked about this before. This can change. I think you should have a monetary why and an impact driven why and why I think that is a lot of times your financial why is going to play into your impact. Why, but a financial why is something that you can easily track, right? Because you know, have I made heck a thousand dollars in my business this month? Yes or no? If not, what can I do to get there and start building those business blocks so that I'm able to get there?

(00:06:44) - Have I made my first a hundred thousand dollars in my business, 200,000? Whatever that looks like for you. So I think a monetary why is a really great one to be able to track. It can also very much tie into your impact driven why. So impact driven why could be the impact that you are going to make on your clients and then what they're able to do, kind of like a spiral or like a, um, a compound effect. It can be what your, you and you personally, yourself and your family is going to benefit from your business. So it's almost like that heartstring, why <laugh> like the heart pulling out the heart. Like what's that real deep breath and deep sat down inside your soul. Why you show up for your business even on days when it's hard, even on days when you don't know what to do, even on days where you're having a really crappy day <laugh>.

(00:07:36) - And then also having that financial marker that almost like a thermometer gauge that you can measure and, and just kind of check off those rungs of your ladder as you are going up of it. So find your why and make sure that you keep this in mind somehow every day. This could be writing it down every day. This could be having it in a place where you see it and maybe you speak it out loud. I have also done before where I have recorded myself just in a voice memo and said, my why, and I've done this sometimes too, on days where something has been like particularly joyous or I have made a move in my business that was like scary and I just wanna be reminded why I did it. So listening to your why in your own voice can be really powerful as well.

(00:08:28) - So there's lots of ways you can do this. Find which one works for you and which one you're gonna be consistent with. So if you've been around here for a while, I talk about my three Cs, content, connections, consistency. So this one is definitely going to be in the consistency bucket. Find a way that you can remember your why at all times, when things are good, when things are bad. And tying this in with our Disney theme, <laugh> <laugh> in Alice Wonderland, the Chest, chest Shire Cat says, if you don't know where you're going, any road will get you there. And so this is gonna remind us how important it's to have a clear vision of where we wanna go so that we're not on all the roads, right? We don't need to necessarily go on all the roads, we need to go to the roads that are going to get us to where we're going.

(00:09:14) - Um, and then we can dive even deeper into this when you are very clear in your why, this helps a lot with decision making in that, you know something, and you've probably heard this before as well, if something's not a hell yes, it's a hell no. So if this is not supporting either my financial why, my impact, why in this season of my life I'm gonna have to say no. So this can be really empowering in that sense as well. Tip number two, this is my favorite one. I am the strategy brain <laugh>. I like to make the plans. So step nu stick. I don't even know why I say skip. Tip number two is make a plan and stick to it.

(00:09:57) - Okay? So this is a lot what we are doing in that $7 challenge that I just met mentioned to you before we got started. That is starting this Sunday, it's running for seven days, but take what you've learned about you, your business, how to grow a business and use it to create a plan for your business. So set your goals, create a schedule, and then stick to it. This sometimes means that you get to have an accountability buddy, you get to join a coaching program, but do what you need to do. And you're gonna know like, are you able to stick to it without writing it in your calendar? Probably not. Are you able to stick to it without an accountability partner? Some people yes, some people no. So when you have a plan, you're way more likely to make progress, stay on track, and then be able to go back and look like, okay, I did all these things for a week or a week's, kind of a short amount of time, but I like to say like 90 days I was really consistent in 90 days showing up on reels.

(00:10:58) - Did I get a customer from this? Did I get increased views? Did I, and if not, then maybe we get to reassess. Maybe you don't need to do a a reel every day, for example. So having the plan and sticking to it, being consistent with it, is really going to help you make informed decisions in your business and also see results. Tip three, take constant action. This ties very closely with tip two. So once you have your plan, once you know what you're gonna be doing, you have your list of to-dos every day. Maybe you're gonna do batch work, so you're gonna do a c e O day. One day, you're gonna do, um, your content creation. One day you're going to do all of your connections. One day you're gonna do client work on one day. You know, that's totally cool as well. Whatever plan you pick though, take constant action on it.

(00:11:48) - So like our friend Dory says in Finding Nemo, just keep swimming, keep going, blinders on. Schedule that in your calendar. Make sure that the people who you have chosen to allow into your circle or on board and or they know how to support you, even if they have no idea with what you're doing. And this could be like making sure that your partner or your roommate, whoever you live with, knows that. For example, for me on Tuesdays, usually between four and five or 5:30 PM in the evening on Tuesdays I'm recording a podcast. So <laugh>, you know, I am on mute when my sister pulls in the driveway or I try to be on mute when that time comes because I know my dog is gonna start barking. And so she knows to come in really quietly those days and you know, it's just something that I have been consistent about, but I've also communicated with her about, and we, you know, we have those boundaries and it just works super well for us.

(00:12:45) - When in doubt, break your plan down into smaller, manageable tasks and then with those tasks, take action on them. Consistently. Progress is progress no matter how small it is, but we get to take that consistent action. If you have my planner and tracker system, it was the direct sales done right planner and tracker system for years. I created it in 2020. Um, however, a really big name direct seller just made a planner and Tracker also called the same thing. So I changed my name just because I didn't trademark it before I thought about it. I was so close to doing it and I didn't. So that's a business lesson for you on that. Um, and so anyway, long story short, it's now called the six Figure Social Selling Planner and Tracker system. But if you have that, and if you don't, the link should be in my, um, links page that I mentioned.

(00:13:40) - Also, it's included for the women in my membership. So it's actually a, a better option price wise to do it that way. But reach out if you have any questions. But if you have that, and I know there are a ton of you, I have sold over a hun, I've sold hundreds of these. Um, if you have that, that's a really great place to start because it gives you that power hour checklist. When I grew my network marketing business to the top less than 1%, I did it by this consistent action and having my plan sticking to it, looking at my checklist every day. And I had scheduled in a power hour or two, sometimes in some seasons, three a day, and I was consistent about it. I showed up, I broke things down into small manageable tasks and I did the do. So if you do it, you can do it, I promise.

(00:14:24) - Tip number four, surround yourself with positivity. I'm gonna go a step further and just surrounding yourself with a community of like-minded entrepreneurs. If you're listening to this, you are an entrepreneur or you are hoping to be surround yourself with people who are not only positive, but who get what you're doing and who have done what you are doing. And especially, you know, I think that's really important in networking groups and some more your, your free, free type things or maybe it's like a really low ticket. Again, I'm thinking like networking when I'm thinking in my brain about this, but if you're, if you're taking this tip and applying it to like a coaching container, so maybe you're thinking about joining a mastermind, which you're hearing it here first, I am creating a mastermind. I'll be starting late summer, so stay tuned for that. I'll be opening up a wait list for that super soon.

- But you wanna get in, you know, the mastermind in the coaching containers where you are not the person in that who is furthest along in your business because you wanna be able to learn from other people as well. Like I try to put myself in containers where I am the most novice or maybe maybe intermediate, but I feel like I get so much more out of it when I'm like the baby beginner in the room, even though I am in no way a beginner in my business, right? But I wanna surround myself with people who are gonna force myself to up-level in all aspects of my life and in my business. So surround yourself with those sorts of people. And remember, like the fairy godmother said in Cinderella, even miracles take time. So just because you surround yourself with positivity or those people who are doing more things, um, and more advancing in their businesses than you, this quote is reminding us to be patient because Rome wasn't built in a day, but finding a community of like-minded individuals who support and encourage you along the way, you're gonna be amazed at what you can achieve when you have that right support system.

- So that's gonna be tip number four because hopefully by this point, if you have been doing one, two, and three, you know your why you are invested, it is a solid why you've made a plan, you're sticking to it, you're breaking things down into small tasks, you're taking consistent action. Like now we are in that momentum. So now it's up to us just to keep that momentum going and not even going but just like growing as well. So that's where you really should be by tip four if you've been doing one, two, and three very seriously. Tip five is one of my favorite. Also one that I find <laugh> kind of challenging to do sometimes, but celebrate your wins. So have something to look forward to when you hit a big goal. Um, this could be a trip that you're gonna allow yourself to go on.

(00:17:13) - This could be, you know, when I finally do this, I am going to invest in that mastermind that Lindsay keeps talking about. That sounds really freaking awesome. Or I'm gonna sign up for her Disney business retreat, which another plug in here is that I do still have two spots left for that. So if you want one of those, check the link of my bio or reach out if you want some more info, it's gonna be freaking amazing. Um, but like celebrate your wins. Like I just made a huge investment. I think it's my biggest one ever. That's what I was trying to think before I got on here. I think, I think it for sure was, but it is a multi <laugh> multiple five figure coaching investment in my business. And I'm gonna be honest, it is scary as I'll get out. Um, I have not done anything like that before.

(00:18:00) - I've been really close and I have done it. Um, I should like preface that by saying like, I have done it by, I've spent multiple five figures before in coaching, but it has been like a, a, a compilation of, you know, a coaching program here. I was also in a mastermind. I also bought this course from someone, yada, yada, yada. And then when it all got added up, my training for the year, and I know that cuz from doing my taxes was over 10 grand. Um, so this is the first time I've actually invested in it's two coaches actually, but in their program, um, for an entire year. So it officially starts in June, but they're like letting me in now since I went ahead and, and paid and they have a cohort going, which is super nice of them and I'm super excited about it.

(00:18:44) - But I celebrated that <laugh> like it was scary as heck. But I was telling, um, you know, some of my, some people really close to me how excited I am about it. I've already done some of the modules and I've already g gained a ton of clarity just from like a couple exercises. My mind is just like blown. So I'm using all of that though so that I can serve and support my clients in an even bigger, more expansive, more abundant way. And I am celebrating that. So I am celebrating spending that money with these, these women who I look up and admire who've done the things that I wanna do because I know it is going to pay off in the end. Um, I booked a reiki session, which I haven't done in years, but one of the things that is mentioned in this, this program that I'm doing is about the energetics and where your blocks are.

(00:19:34) - So I'm really curious now, like, okay, I wanna make sure that <laugh> I know what my blocks are going into, um, doing some of the lessons in this coaching container. So one of my wins is when I hit a certain number of sales, I'm going to my reiki session, like I'm doing these things. So what are your win? You know, what are you gonna celebrate with when you achieve those wins? Who can you share that with? We, in my monthly membership that I talk about in here or I try to talk about in here a lot, I talk about a lot of my social is one of my favorite things is that we share our wins in that group and everyone is cheering each other on. And we have learned that no matter how small or how big a win is, like it's still a win.

(00:20:19) - So celebrating these are gonna help you stay motivated and inspire you to keep going. And so that's why I said they're kind of in a linear order. Um, but I do wanna also say all of these are tangible and can change. So like my why has changed a lot since I started in business. My plan has changed a lot, my schedule has changed a lot. I have figured out different types of activities to do, um, and I spend different amounts of times doing them now than when I was a beginner in my business. Taking consistent action as a mindset hasn't really changed, but the amount of time I spend has changed surrounding yourself with positivity that in a whole has not changed because I've always found surrounding myself with positive people in a community. I've always been in a mastermind group, so you know, that hasn't changed, but the people who make that up have changed and evolved over time and celebrating your wins.

(00:21:16) - Like I said, I'm still working on this one because I don't always do it. Uh, you know, say what I, or do what I say, not what I do, right? Um, but again, these can all change based off of where you're at in your life and where you're at in your business. So I hope you enjoy that. I hope you got some clarity. We're able to really get clear on what gaining momentum in your business looks like and are also reminded that it takes time. This is not going to happen overnight there.
